Greetings! I'm excited to make a list of summer fun activities. There are so many events going on in the city, I actually have started attending some of them since the beginning of June even though summer is officially not arriving here until June 21.
With warm summer days, the living is easy. It feels wonderful to just be outside, enjoy the sunshine, and the summer breeze. I know on some days, when the humidity is high, it feels nicer to be in an air-conditioned place but for the most part, I love this season and the fresh produce that comes with it. I'll be traveling a bit in July and August to meet with friends and family, too. Below is my plan for the summer. Bring it on!
My Summer Fun List (June 21 to September 20, 2018):
- Visit farmers' markets, local parks, or beaches.
- Attend summer festivals.
- Go to outdoor concerts.
- Watch new-to-me movies.
- View art exhibitions.
- Enjoy BBQ gatherings with my extended family.
- Meet up with friends in Quebec City in July.
- Celebrate my cousin's wedding in Paris, France in August.
For item 6, my extended family is planning monthly BBQ gathering in June, July, and August so I'm anticipating three big feasts!
For items 7 and 8, we've been to Quebec City and Paris before. Both cities are wonderful destinations. Paris is dear to my heart as I have family there. Every time I go to France, I add at least one more place to explore outside of Paris. We'll see how it goes this summer.
How about you? What's your plan for fun this season? Please share below.
P.S. I managed to complete my Spring fun list since my spring update #2:
- I watched The Greatest Showman and Black Panther (Total 10 movies watched in the spring).
- I continued to learn French and Spanish.
- I went to the first farmer's market of the year in May.
- I visited the Baltics and Poland in May-June.
Natalie I want to come and live near you and be your friend - then you could take me along with you to some of these outings and make me get out and about more. You certainly inspire me with all you accomplish!
ReplyDeleteLeanne - I'd love to take you along then we can walk and talk because you have so many great thoughts and ideas for discussions that I'd like to delve into. Thank you for stopping by :)
DeleteHi, Natalie - I was glad to see that the first item on your Summer Bucket List is Attending Farmers' Markets. For me, this totally spells S-U-M-M-E-R!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your trip planning.Quebec in July and Paris in August?! You are definitely a hard-core traveler!
Hi Donna - I'm so happy to go to weekly farmer's markets since they start on May 24. Aside from the fresh produce, they also have really good bands playing live music, all free! I'm going again today.
DeleteWe'll be in Quebec city for a week and France for ten days. The rest of the summer, I'll be home enjoying the local sights, and of course plotting my next adventure :)
Thank you for stopping by. I'll miss your posts while you're on your blogging break but I know you'll be back with lots of updates.
Looking forward to your update posts - & to vicariously travelling to Quebec with you lol
ReplyDeleteQuebec city is lovely. I'll try to take some good photos and share on my blog. Thanks, Jo, for stopping by.
DeleteI love this idea and think I'm going to do it with my daughter (even though her suggestions may well just be go to the seaside and jump on a trampoline) and sign up!
ReplyDeleteHi Emma -I think your daughter's suggestions are great fun. Make a list and join us as the link up is still open for another 14 days. Thank you for stopping by.
DeleteI like how you call it a Summer Fun List! I love Farmer's Markets and hope to visit a couple of new ones this summer as well. Since we've moved, there are 2 new smaller monthly ones in walking distance from us... on my list for sure!
ReplyDeleteIt's so easy to create a fun list and follow it to enjoy life. My fun list has higher priority than my house chores list these days, LOL. Thank you, Patricia, for stopping by.
DeleteYour summer list sounds like loads of fun! I'm jealous you are going to Paris. I love France and definitely want to get back to see more. Have a wonderful time! I've never been to Quebec City, but any place you meet up with friends has to be good. Happy summer!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Christie, for dropping by. Quebec City is French Canadian and the Old Town is a UNESCO World Heritage site. I've always had an enjoyable time visiting Quebec City and you're right, with good friends to meet up, even better :)
DeleteWhat a fabulous list! Summer really brings out the fun, doesn't it! Have a great time in both Quebec City and Paris - two of my favorite places too
ReplyDeleteHi Janis - Thank you for your visit and comment. I chose these two cities to guarantee summer fun on steroid :)
DeleteBTW, I left a comment on your blog when I read Marty's guest post two days ago. It still hasn't appeared yet (awaiting moderation? spam prison? disappeared?). I feel so left out being on Blogger trying to comment on some WordPress blogs. The maddening thing is it's inconsistent. On some WP blogs, I have no problem to comment. Not your fault, just letting you know I tried. I'm glad you can leave a comment on my blog. Hopefully it wasn't a frustrating experience for you.
I appreciate the heads up! I’ll take a look and see what I can figure out. I am able to leave comments on your site no problem (so far, so good 🙂).
DeleteThank you, Janis, for your feedback. I see my comment on your blog now. Have a great weekend!
DeleteI'm jealous that you are writing a Summer Fun List!!! I guess I should have a go at a winter one to bide the cold Canberra climate. It's only the first month of winter and I'm ready to move on to spring already! LOL #teamlovinlife
ReplyDeleteHi Leanne - In my mind, fun lists are 'mandatory' for all seasons, LOL. If it helps you to beat the winter blues, why not create one and carry it out with gusto? Thank you for stopping by. Have a fun weekend!
DeleteHi, Natalie! What a fun list, as always! I'm chuckling at all your outdoor goals, and we're down here hiding from the heat for the next few months! LOL! Enjoy your warm weather and that trip to PARIS!!! I'll be doing some travel as well, mostly for work, but my DH and I will being visiting Nashville, Tennessee for the first time next month. I'm looking forward to it.
ReplyDeleteHi Michael Ann - Thank you for stopping by and commenting. I greatly appreciate it. On humid days, I'd be indoors to hide from the heat. I look forward to reading about your trip to Nashville.
DeleteOf course it's winter here but I'm at a point where I'm doing some planning for upcoming trips and I want to do something to focus more on my fitness. I'm not sure what yet, but.... something....
ReplyDeleteHi Deborah - Your trip to Italy sounds fabulous. Whatever fitness activity you choose to do, it will build up your stamina for your travels. Thank you for stopping by.
DeleteI too will be living vicariously through you this summer. I am grounded in So. California, spending my weeks doing hand therapy. Have a great summer!
ReplyDeleteThank you, LuAnn, for stopping by. I greatly appreciate it. I hope your hand therapy is going well. SoCal is a beautiful area for 'staycations'. Wishing you a great summer, too.
DeleteThis is truly a fun list. I love farmer's markets and art exhibitions. Have fun in Paris. It's such a beautiful city.

Thank you, Suzy, for stopping by. Have a great week!
DeleteFirst of all, that photo with the pastel pink sun umbrellas along the beach is just beautiful. Seems everyone always uses bright colors for those parasols but these pink ones are really lovely. They remind me of flamingos.
ReplyDeleteYay for doing so well on your spring list! And your summer list looks very enjoyable and doable. I like that you listed activities without too much detail; outdoor concerts without listing a particular concert gives you more leeway. Great list!!
Thank you, Leslie, for your comment. I like the light pink umbrellas, too. They look happy, especially with the blue sky backdrop. I keep my summer activities general since there are so many free events that I can go to on any given day. I decide on the day of or the day before which one to attend. Have a fun summer!
DeleteNatalie what a great summer list! I love being outdoors during the summer months as well. Enjoy the warm weather while we can!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Dani, for stopping by. Hope the weather has been nice where you live. It's been mostly sunny and warm here. Have a great summer!
